Designing the Details
Known for their refined take on Middle Eastern cuisine, Anar wanted to reflect the same elegance and storytelling in the way they served their food and drinks. And that’s where we came in. The designs were a result of their brand philosophy & visual identity, and of course, the symbolism of the Anar—the heart of their logo.
We kicked off the process with a heartfelt brainstorming session, aligning on the product types: a Brass Kettle, Brass Coupe Glasses, a Kansa Glass Set, and a 13-inch Round Tray. Crafting more than serveware—they are vessels for storytelling. From there, our design team began weaving together a moodboard—rich in shades of crimson, gold, and the lush greens of pomegranate leaves.
The idea was to capture the luscious detail of the fruit, from its crown-like top to the intricate glint of its seeds, in a style that honored our hand-painted craftsmanship while staying true to Anar’s contemporary aesthetic. Once the design was approved, we moved into soft-copy previews—a step that gave Anar their first digital look at what was coming to life.
Every piece was then lovingly hand-painted, with no shortcuts. From the brass coupe glass (pictured below), with textured pomegranate details and floral touches, to the 13-inch tray that became a stage for Middle Eastern feasts—each item was handled with care, brushstroke by brushstroke. We conducted rigorous quality checks to ensure each piece stood up to our exacting standards—not just in artistry but in utility.
